2.     Outline how the rise of political parties changed the original process set out in the Constitution.

Class Discussion/Analysis: Students describe how the Framers originally designed the selection process for President. Discuss the resulting problems that occurred, why they occurred, and how they were resolved.

Focus: This lesson focuses on the Framers’ plan for presidential selection and how that process has changed over time.
