From the Athletic Director…

The 2007-08 was another great year for our Pioneers. Some highlights include – a first ever Girls Golf Western Big Six title, Girls Cross Country Western Big Six title, Boys Golf 2A Regional title, and Girls Basketball 3A Regional title. In addition, we had four Cross Country team members earn All-State honors – Kathleen Hogan, Caitlin Bull, Tim Hird and Brian McGuire. Both Kathleen Hogan and Tim Hird made State appearances with outstanding performances in Track & Field. Also, we had numerous Alleman student-athletes who earned Academic All-Conference honors throughout the year. 

Those close to Alleman know that we strongly encourage our students to participate in a variety of activities during their high school career – this includes athletics. We all consider the athletic experience one important part of our students overall development and so we are proud that a significant percentage of our student body participate in interscholastic athletics. The foundations of our athletic program will always be hard work, teamwork, sportsmanship and leadership. We hope that along the way our students will realize and maybe exceed their athletic ability while learning important values that will sustain them the rest of their lives.

My goal as Athletic Director is to help us achieve a high level of athletic success and to always maintain proper perspective that a student-athlete is a student first and athlete second. Our overall aspiration will be to help and nurture our young people to achieve success in all facets of their high school life.

I’m sure 2008-09 will be another great year for all our Pioneers!
